Hecla commissioned “The Miner,” a bronze statue dedicated to the late Art Brown, the company’s former president and CEO from 1987 to 2003, and to the men and women who created Idaho’s world-renowned Silver Valley and continue to provide the minerals essential to our everyday lives. Artist Terry Lee recently unveiled the statue near McEuen Park in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho where Hecla’s headquarters are located. Tiia Brown, Brown’s widow, said, “I think it’s fantastic Hecla would do such a thing. I’m just very thankful for what they did.” Learn more in “The Making of the Miner” article in the Coeur d’Alene/Post Press.
