Hecla Hires First-Ever Director of Indigenous Affairs & Canadian Community Relations
Loralee Johnstone has been hired in a new role as Hecla’s Director of Indigenous Affairs & Canadian Community Relations. She will be responsible for building and fostering positive working relationships with Indigenous people, communities, and governments where Hecla does business.
Loralee has over 25 years of experience working with First Nations Governments, in Community and Government Relations, Environmental Management, and Permitting in British Columbia and the Yukon. She has considerable knowledge in the mining industry and on sustainability issues.
