Patrick Malone
Vice President – Sustainability
Patrick Malone was appointed Vice President – Sustainability in April 2025. Prior to joining Hecla, Mr. Malone served as Chief Sustainability Office and Chief Legal Officer at Dakota Gold Corp. from November 2022 to March 2025. Prior to that, Mr. Malone held senior positions at Barrick Gold, including Vice President – Closure and Reclamation and Head of North American Legal and Regulatory Affairs from July 2010 to November 2022. He has more than two decades of mining experience, with an expertise in environmental, social, legal, and governance functions. Mr. Malone holds degrees in both Conservation Biology and Law from Brigham Young University and has completed graduate level coursework in business management and mine engineering.
