Matt Blattman
Vice President – Technical Services
Matt Blattman was appointed Vice President – Technical Services in January 2025. He has served in various roles at Hecla including Director – Technical Services from June 2022 to December 2024 and Manager – Engineering from February 2018 to May 2022. Prior to joining Hecla, Mr. Blattman has held several positions at different companies from 2005 to 2018, including Director of Technical Services with GEOVIA’s Center of Excellence for North and South America, Senior Manager of Engineering with Northland Resources in Sweden, and Corporate Mining Manager with CEMEX in Houston, Texas. He has consulted for Blattman Brothers Consulting and Mine Development Associates. Mr. Blattman began his career with Hecla as a Mining Engineer at the Rosebud Mine in Nevada in 1997. He has more than 30 years in the mining industry and earned a Bachelor of Science in mining engineering from the Mackay School of Mines at the University of Nevada, Reno.
